Sir, There are two different, opposing views about babies and children in our society. Most people believe that children are a blessing. This attitude is epitomized by a quote from Mother Teresa, "How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers" Sadly, today's secular, selfish approach does not regard children in the same way. It often views children as burdens, or impediments to a hedonistic lifestyle. This is what Pope John Paul II referred to as the "culture of death." This attitude is epitomized by a comment made very recently by U.S. Senator and Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, in Johnstown, PA, on March 29, 2008: "Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby...." It is indeed very sad when babies are considered "a punishment". Sincerely, SEND TO: Senator Bob Casey, via his contact form. or call (202) 224-6324 Dear Senator Casey, I was very disappointed by your endorsement of Barack Obama, who if elected, would be by far the most pro-abortion President in our country's history. Obama believes in EVERY type of abortion and infanticide (even opposing legislation in Illinois which would have assisted babies born after a botched abortion). Obama is truly a radical on life and family issues and it boggles my mind that you stated that you "believed in him more than any other candidate since your father". Your father was a true, God fearing, pro-life Democrat. Obama should not be mentioned in the same sentence! Sincerely,
Please email the following to President George Bush
2) Sir,
What if the government spent billions on a program over four decades and an authoritative federal study showed that the policy not only failed but may have contributed to spreading several incurable diseases?Would the press connect the dots and warn the American people? Not if that would threaten the widely administered and well-funded “safe sex” programs for kids.
Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that one in four American teen girls have at least one sexually transmitted disease (STD). This finding comes in the face of nearly 40 years of federally funded “safe sex” education that told the girls they would be “safe” if the boys used condoms.
The well-kept secret that the media reports are ignoring is that condoms are ineffective in preventing both STD's and unplanned pregnancies. There is only one beneficiary of so-called "safe sex" programs and that is Planned Parenthood, which works to eliminate abstinence programs while vigorously promoting their own program and the cycle of "safe sex", STD's and abortion.
It is a vicious cycle for America's youth, but a virtuous cycle for Planned Parenthood, who rake in the dollars at each stage, whether that be selling the contraception, or carrying out the abortions.
Sincerely,
